On the occasion of the Independence Day of Lebanon, the Lebanese Embassy in Nigeria brought the American University of Beirut (AUB), DiasporaID, Hult Prize Foundation and Lebanese Health Energy (LHE) to Lagos. They connected with more than (80) executives from the Lebanese and Nigerian companies and met, discussed, shared lessons learned and they discussed about how to support future collaboration, opportunities and growth.
This event was organized by the Embassy of Lebanon as part of a roadshow between the different stakeholders in collaboration with the Consul General in Lagos and the Lebanese Nigerian Initiative (LNI).
The purpose of the event was to:
- Introduce AUB’s services beyond university education, and to foster collaboration on educational, professional development, executive education and consulting.
- Connect Lebanese-led entities in Nigeria with the Lebanese diaspora and with their Embassy and Consulates in Nigeria and with Lebanon via AUB and DiasporaID gateway.
- Establish partnerships with Nigerian and Lebanese-led entities in Nigeria to build best-in-class impact accelerators (for e.g., hultprize.org, laudatosichallenge.org & lhe-leb.org) as well as curating large scale events that inspire and empower the youth ( for e.g., changemakerlb.com).
