Fees of $10 is required per one registration

1- Fill out a Marriage application form.
2- Copy of the Lebanese passports for Husband and wife. (or foreign passport of the wife)
3- Copy of Lebanese ID Card or a recent Individual Civil Status Record (Ikhraj kayd) for Husband & wife
4- A recent Family Civil Status Record for Husband & wife
5- Original Marriage Certificate issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria (not by a religious authority) authenticated by the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
6- If the wife is not Lebanese a copy of the wife's Birth Certificate, authenticated by the Embassy of her country.
* The registration of vital records is only applicable to Lebanese citizens. As for Palestinian Refugees holding Lebanese travel documents the procedures requires them to legalize the marriage certificate from the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy then to register it directly with the General Directorate for Political Affairs and Refugees at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities in Lebanon. *In case of multiple marriages, the marriage is subject to the provisions of the applicable Nigerians laws:
- Original Marriage Certificate issued by a religious authority, authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria
- A copy of the Nigeria law that allows multiple marriages, authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria
NB: The groom can opt to perform a marriage power of attorney appointing a representative in Lebanon to perform the marriage on his behalf, on condition that the bride is present in Lebanon.
