To the kind attention of the Lebanese Community in Nigeria

Pursuant to yesterday’s circular regarding the procedures and measures to be taken by Lebanese citizens residing in Nigeria who are receiving family members coming from Lebanon or from other countries afflicted by the Corona epidemic (COVID-19), the Lebanese Embassy reiterates its call to its Lebanese community in Nigeria to share the responsibility of committing all members of the traveller’s family to home confinement and urges them to minimize their non-essential movements for a period of 14 days until it is confirmed that there is no case of Coronavirus infection amongst the family members. This is out of concern over your safety and the safety of your family and the health of the general public.

In this context, and in order to be able to provide its assistance and follow up, the Lebanese Embassy in Abuja kindly requests its citizens who have recently arrived from Lebanon to kindly register their names and the names of their family members with the Embassy in Abuja or the Consulate General in Lagos or the Honorary Consulate in Kano, each according to their place of residence, at the following addresses:

Embassy in Abuja:
abuja.leb@gmail.com – 092914900

General Consulate in Lagos:
consulategeneral@lebaneseconsulatelagos.com – 012713881

Honorary Consulate in Kano:
h.consulatekano@hotmail.com - 08186689558 (whatsapp) - 09035179388

In this respect, it is important to note that the Lebanese Government in light of the public health situation in Lebanon and  in its ongoing efforts to rein in the spread of coronavirus, has declared  on Sunday a public mobilization and a medical state of emergency, announcing the closure of Beirut International airport and of all borders and ports and most public institutions and private companies, from midnight on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until midnight on Sunday, March 29, 2020.

The Lebanese Embassy in Abuja and its consulates in Lagos and Kano, remain at the disposal of their Lebanese community to ensure their safety and to best preserve their interests and well being.

With the compliments of the Embassy of Lebanon to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
